LETTER TO LEADERS

Dear Faith Leader,

As a leader in your faith community, you are in a unique position to help others find home and healing in Christ. I believe God has given me a powerful story to help you accomplish that with a new and innovative approach to ministry @ www.GraceExplorations.com

As a former ordained minister and national church consultant during the 1990’s, I understand the power in the pulpit. Now, more than a decade and a half later, I understand the pain in the pew. As a divorced parent of two children, I represent half or more of the U.S. population in your community. Too often in our fight for what is right, we forget what is real. The pain in your place is real.

 I can help you reach people in pain.

I’ve experienced divorce, bankruptcy and loss of home only to find that love is wealth and a healed heart is home. Timeless trauma that has happened to us is healed with transcendent time – a “thin place” where eternity’s weight thins out time. When eternity’s weight thins out time, anything can happen in time because it’s already happened in eternity.

I have found this place.

And I can lead your community there. It is a true place not found on any map except in our everlasting hearts that so often ache to be healed.

After a long exile from ministry, I’ve learned that failure can set us aside in humiliation or it can set us apart in humility that brings forth a holy mission. Where shame pushes you to the side, God places apart, and that space in-between is Grace. When God calls, He never hangs up. Silence is our shame and so many times we misinterpret this silence as His blame. Failure humbles us so we can be proud of grace. When we do our worst, grace does her best. Success might impress but failing forward makes an impact. Pain connects us to others who are suffering to create positive change.

I am willing to share my worst day: The Day The Devil Came To Church so that your community can be impacted and see God’s redemptive best.

Show every single, divorced, bankrupt and broken person struggling with trauma they truly belong in the body of Christ. I am not afraid to touch the leprous, unfeeling, hidden parts of the human heart because God has healed me of the same disease: Shame. My pain and misery have become a powerful message for the masses. God often chooses His candidates from the pit as a passage to the palace. My confidence, therefore, is not in circumstances but in Christ – the Lion of Judah Who is on the loose. He’s not safe but He is dangerously good. When He roars as Aslan the Lion in C.S. Lewis’ – The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, the long winter of lingering wounds surrenders to spring. The wicked White Witch of trauma is slain and her wand is wrecked with wonder…the wonder of being able to feel in order to heal in a world that remains numb.
