Raw, redemptive, no-frills Stories for men

BREATH

a story by Aaron bronkema

Church without brotherhood is like blue without color - it makes no sense.

But yet, many American men will attend a church in their lifetime and never be part of a redemptive community of men.

Aaron Bronkema was one of these men - four sons by age 26, working hard to provide for his family and believing that being part of a men’s group wasn’t really that important.

But decades later, in the Spring of 2021, sitting on his porch,  Aaron received a call from the doctor informing him that he had cancer.

A tailspin. A breakdown. That’s how many would react.

But Aaron looked this moment straight in the eyes with an unusual amount of confidence.

Because, just months earlier, he was in a similar place and came out stronger. How?

He wasn’t alone.
